How to Find Your Purpose, Part 3: Your Passions, A-Z

Life Coaching to help you find your true purposeYes, it’s another installment on my series on finding your life purpose! Sorry I’m posting late, I was working all day on my purpose of helping people transform their lives – this time by shooting life coaching videos! Will post soon.

And now for today’s exercise to help you find your PURPOSE and PASSION…

A – Z Brainstorm.

Not sure what the heck your purpose is on this green earth? Remember, at the beginning of the process your number one job is just to generate ideas. So how about an old-fashioned brainstorm?  You want to explore many interests so you can later select your favorites. Finding your life purpose is really about creating a combination of passions, so the more you discover, the better.

To help trigger ideas for your purpose, go from A to Z. Write A and come up with the many ideas that start with A as possible: accounting, acrobatics, apple farming, etc. Anything goes. Just make sure that whatever idea you write down is actually appealing.

In true brainstorm fashion, don’t get negative, no “yeah buts.” You can cross off ideas later, but now you are just blasting out ideas.

Once you have your brainstorm, tuck it away and come back to it in a week or two. What stands out to you as the most interesting and compelling ideas? What would you like to do more of?  Start playing with your ideas, you may discover a BIG passion and even BIGGER purpose.

So how did it go? What was your favorite idea?
